1. Introduction

Lynsco Group Ltd, trading as RentRooster.ie ("RentRooster", "we", "our", "us"), operates as an online platform providing administrative and marketing services for users to list and rent items. RentRooster does not own, manage, or offer any items listed on the platform and acts solely as an intermediary.

2. Definitions

• Owner: A user who lists an item for rent on RentRooster.
• Renter: A user who rents an item listed on RentRooster.
• Item: Any object listed for rent on the RentRooster platform.
• Service Fee: The fee charged by RentRooster for facilitating the rental transaction.

3. User Obligations

• Eligibility: Users must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into binding agreements.
• Account Registration: Users must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and maintain the security of their account.
• Compliance: Users must comply with all local laws and regulations regarding their activities on the platform.

4. Listings

• Accuracy: Owners are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their listings, including descriptions, pricing, and availability.
• Prohibited Items: Certain items may not be listed on RentRooster, including but not limited to illegal items, hazardous materials, and items violating intellectual property rights.
• Ownership and Rights: Owners must have the legal right to rent out items listed on the platform.

5. Booking and Payments

• Service Fee: RentRooster charges a service fee, included in the rental price displayed to the Renter. This fee is deducted from the amount paid to the Owner.
• Payments: Transactions are processed through third-party payment providers. RentRooster does not hold funds or provide financial services.
• Cancellation and Refunds: Cancellations and refunds are governed by the cancellation policy set by the Owner. RentRooster will facilitate communication between parties but is not responsible for disputes.

6. Use of the Platform

• Prohibited Activities: Users may not engage in fraudulent activities, misrepresentations, or use the platform for illegal purposes.
• Communication: Users must use RentRooster’s messaging system for all communications regarding the rental process. Off-platform transactions are prohibited.

7. Liability

• Limitation of Liability: RentRooster is not liable for any loss, damage, or claims arising from transactions between Owners and Renters. All transactions are conducted at the parties' own risk.
• Indemnity: Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless RentRooster from any claims or damages arising from their use of the platform.

8. Dispute Resolution

• Mediation: RentRooster may assist in resolving disputes but does not assume responsibility for mediating conflicts.
• Arbitration: Any legal disputes arising from the use of RentRooster shall be resolved through binding arbitration, in accordance with the laws of Ireland.
• Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and any disputes will be resolved in Irish courts.

9. Termination

• Right to Terminate: RentRooster reserves the right to terminate user accounts for violations of these terms or any applicable laws.
• Effect of Termination: Upon termination, users must cease all use of the platform and settle any outstanding transactions.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

• Privacy Policy: Users agree to RentRooster’s Privacy Policy, which outlines how personal data is collected, used, and protected.
• Data Security: RentRooster implements security measures to protect user data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Amendments

• Changes to Terms: RentRooster reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes and continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Miscellaneous

• Entire Agreement: These terms constitute the entire agreement between users and RentRooster regarding the use of the platform.
• Severability: If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
• Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
